Today we’d like to introduce you to Seth Worby.
Seth, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The idea for the Champ brand started with a project I completed in college where I was studying e-business management. After college, I spent a number of years learning about the website development world working for other agencies. As I worked on creating business sites, I became deeply interested in the idea of website performance as an area of focus. In the 90s and early 2000s, too many companies were creating websites just to have one without giving proper consideration to what their website would accomplish. This desire of mine to create websites that would convert customers and grow business lead me to specialize in SEO.
While I enjoyed my time as an agency employee, I still felt that more could be done to emphasize the tangible business outcomes of website creation, and in 2009 I decided to found my own company, Champ Internet Solutions. Champ grew quickly from a one-man operation in my bedroom to a small business with a handful of employees in just a year’s time. We’ve been fortunate enough to forge strong partnerships with many clients from the beginning who we still work with today, and our ever growing client-base and employees to serve them have lead us to three office expansions in our eight years in business.
Today we are a cutting-edge digital marketing firm offering website design and development complemented by search engine optimization, social media marketing, expert writing, print design and more. We have grown to be the marketing team for each of our clients and continue to be dedicated to working as their partner to optimize the performance of their projects.
Personally, I excel most at relationship development and synergy identification. This has helped me to assemble a top-notch team of employees and industry partners to serve our clients well over time. I can’t wait to see what the next eight years has in store for us.
Has it been a smooth road?
The greatest struggle in the growth of Champ has been just that: growth. We have been lucky to hire many employees directly from our own employees’ networks, but it’s always a challenge to keep the right balance of new clients and new staff. We believe in growing responsibly, but managing that is always hard work.

Champ is a full-service digital marketing firm. We are known for our work hard, play hard environment, and we like to think that we are a fun group to work with while still getting the job done reliably.
Our focus is on creating digital marketing solutions that are goal-oriented and performance-based. Nothing makes us happier than getting a call from an excited client about a contract they just landed as a direct result of our website work. Knowing that the work we do is creating a real impact for our clients is what motivates us every day.
We employ talented and experienced designers, developers, writers, social media gurus, SEO analysts, marketing strategist, etc so that businesses can have a whole marketing department on call through their partnerships with us.
As the founder and CEO, I am personally proud of the work environment I have been able to create. We have incredibly low employee turnover, which serves as a great benefit to our business and our clients. I see my employees develop lasting friendships, I see them go the extra mile for clients because they are engaged and dedicated, and there is no better feeling than that as an employer. We have fun together both in and out of the office.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Boston has so much to offer, its difficult to pick a single favorite thing. I love our sports teams and our fans fierce dedication. I love the music scenes, the restaurant selection, and the city’s historical significance.
As an employer, Boston is an amazing location. I can attract excellent talent because it’s easy to find what you like here as an employee. If you’re like the hustle and bustle of the city you can live here, but its an easy commute to areas with expansive natural areas, suburbs, etc.
The unpredictable and occasionally harsh weather is a bit of a drawback.
